This magnetic exercise bike with desk by Gymmaster is one of the better selling new release models on Amazon.com. Although it is compact and lightweight with a totally foldable design, it is a sturdy and durable product that is made of high-grade stainless steel. The maximum user weight capacity is specified as 220 pounds or roughly 100kg.

There is a small triangular/oval shaped white panel with a small digital LCD screen that shows the most standard metrics- distance, time, calories and speed as well as the heart rate for you to track during your workout, stay motivated to achieve your set targets. The pulse rate sensors are located on the fixed handles just under the desk.

You will see the tension knob just below the panel and you can adjust it to 8 levels of difficulty by simply turning the knob. But it feels stable (not shaky or wobbly), is functional, seems to do the job well, runs smoothly as it offers you a gentle low-impact type of cardiovascular workout in the comfort of your own home.

And there will be a minimal strain on your back, knees, feet legs or joints. It may also be useful for someone that went through an injury or an operation and in need of rehab and recovery. But this is something you need to consult your healthcare professional and follow their advice before starting to exercise on a bike.

It is good to have a small and stable desk at the front as you can put your small laptop or phone, check your emails, do your work or watch a video- keep entertained during your session so you can go for longer and burn more calories. The attached small desk can be used only in one position and can not be flipped so it may be a little hard to use your tablet while working out. You can’t really adjust the seat horizontally but by adjusting it vertically- moving it up and down you’ll be moving it forward and backward automatically. If you are a very large or very tall person this won’t work for you as the distance between the desk and the seat is not wide and the desk part is not adjustable for height. But it is certainly good value for money.
